Everlywell at-home lab tests expand in the Northeast: Here’s what New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island can expect

Today, we’re expanding that mission to nearly 30 million more people across three new states.

Why can New York residents only purchase a COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit and not other Everlywell tests?

In addition to the complex billing laws, New York State’s Department of Health has an even higher bar that requires every biomarker tested to be separately validated and approved by the state—this process typically takes 12-18 months. Our COVID-19 partner labs have received the necessary approvals to process our samples in the emergency situation federally, and locally through Governor Cuomo’s emergency state.

While we hope to offer a wider range of Everlywell tests to New Yorkers in the future, we are thankful to be able to bring an accurate COVID-19 testing option to the state of New York in the meantime.
